The Lichfield Bower takes place on Spring Bank Holiday Monday, immediately after the Court of Arraye. The furniture recycling scheme was begun in 1996 and since then has given donated furniture to over 500 families in need. Mostly families benefiting will have been referred by Social Workers, because of marriage breakdowns, domestic violence etc. Collection of furniture can be within the District, but only applications for help from residents of Lichfield City are allowed
